Training programme
UBIMOTIF aims to upskill the next generation of researchers and prepare them for the future European job market. This training programme will focus on developing Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) with a unique profile on SLiMs, peptide-protein interactions, ubiquitin biology, PROTAC technology and industrial insight.
The participating ESRs will take part in a programme of high quality that includes interdisciplinary research and a package of transferable skills.
Each ESR will be assigned a specific research project led by the one of the 13 supervisors. The ESR will be integrated into the research group and enrolled as a PhD student with the local PhD school.
UBIMOTIF is collaborating with hfp consulting, a provider of pioneering transferable skills training and leadership training to the life sciences community. Hfp will provide training throughout the programme for the ESRs, covering subjects like project management, scientific presentation, career development and entrepreneurial skills.
All ESRs will be trained in techniques not available at their host institutes though secondments (visits to research group other than the hosting group). This allows for efficient exploitation of infrastructure within the network and exposure of ESRs to the non-academic sector. Each ESR will undertake two secondments of 3 months.
UBIMOTIF will organize a number of network wide activities that will be an important platform for extensive networking and knowledge-sharing throughout the project. Such activities include for example meetings and workshops with different themes and online journal clubs.
