Matthias Peter at ETH Zurich
The Peter laboratory is part of the Institute of Biochemistry of ETH Zurich. Our work focusses on mechanisms regulating cell growth and division, and in this context we are interested in the function and regulation of E3-ligases. Using microscopy-based RNAi screens, we have previously identified substrate-receptors of cullin-based E3-ubiquitin ligases required for cell proliferation.
In this ESR project, we propose to characterize cellular defects and in particular use mass-spectrometry-based methods to identify physiological substrates and then elucidate the underlying specificity.
