Norman Davey at Institute of Cancer Research
The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), London, is one of the world’s most influential cancer research organisations. For more than 100 years, the ICR has played an important role in shaping understanding of cancer and how it can be treated. The Short Linear Motif (SLiM) Team in the ICR’s Division of Cancer Biology uses interdisciplinary approaches to characterise the SLiM-mediated interactome of the human cell and investigate the potential of targeting SLiM-binding pockets as anti-cancer therapies.
We are recruiting a highly motivated computer scientist or similar to: (i) develop and apply in silico hybrid evolutionary-structural approaches for motif-binding pocket discovery and (ii) develop and apply in silico machine learning approaches to integrate diverse omics datasets related to experimental Ubiquitin system data from within the project, publically available data and in silico predictions
